GENERAL INFORMATION

We aim to provide comprehensive tailored staff welfare packages, to enable all staff to reach their potential, physically and psychologically, at work and in their personal lives. This in turn allows employers to meet their goals and potential.

All Support is confidential and information regarding support will not be discussed with a third party, without written authorisation from the involved person or persons and only when it is beneficial to the person or persons involved.


SUPPORT

It is our intention to provide a comprehensive package of support to employee and employer, to allow business to reach its potential. Support may take many forms including, mediation, counselling, assessments, training, and reorganisation, but our end goal is the same, to enable employers and employees alike to reach their potential, within work and their home life.

We can provide a full assessment of your staff and business premises to allow us to recommend the level of support you require, allowing you to meet your goals.


MEDIATION

Mediation is a process of dispute resolution in which one or more impartial third parties intervenes in a conflict ordispute with the consent of the participants and assists them in negotiating a consensual and informed agreement.

In mediation, the decision-making authority rests with the participants themselves. Recognising participant needs, cultural differences, and variations in style, the mediation process allows participants to define and clarify issues, reduce obstacles to communication, explore possible solutions, and, when desired, reach a mutually satisfactory agreement.

Mediation presents the opportunity to express differences, improve relationships and mutual understanding, whether or not an agreement is reached.

First contact for mediation support is usually made by the company, but can be made by the employee where a contract agreement is in place with the company. The mediation process can take place at your location or any other mutually agreed location, where our professional mediator is required to be present. Mediation can also take place using, Email, video conferencing and in writing.


COUNSELLING

Counselling is often known as the "talking therapy". Counselling is a two way process, with the counsellor helping you to look at things in a different light, from a new perspective, to enable you to move forward.

Counselling is not about going over or dragging up the past; it is about deciding where you are now; where you want to be, and when; how you are going to get there and the steps you need to take to get there.

First contact for counselling support is usually made by the company, but can be made by the employee where a contract agreement is in place with the company. The counselling process can take place at your location or any other mutually agreed location, where our professional mediator is required to be present. Counselling can also take place using, Email, video conferencing and in writing.


LIFESTYLE & STRESS MANAGEMENT

Life style management is about looking for areas in your life that can be improved, looking at your personal and work balance, assessing stress levels and reducing the stress you can, problem solving, formulating action plans for the future and exploring techniques that will allow you to reach your goals. Life style management also looks at confidence, self awareness, assertiveness and self esteem allowing you to explore new direction and self identity

Stress Management is about assessing your stress levels, discovering what causes you stress, reducing the stress you can; using the stress you can't reduce beneficially; learning how to relax and how to say no; Using your time more constructively.

First contact for Life style and Stress Management support is usually made by the company, but can be made by the employee where a contract agreement is in place with the company. The process can take place at your location or any other mutually agreed location, providing a group format. This support can also take place using, Email on a one to one basis. This service is also provided to the public.

We also provide a Company Stress Assessment, assessing your company for levels of stress and providing you with a full detailed report with our findings and suggestions for meeting HSE guide lines in relation to stress.


BULLYING

Bullying in the work place is constant nit-picking, fault-finding and criticism of a trivial nature, a constant refusal to acknowledge contributions and achievements or to recognise an employee's existence and value, with constant attempts to undermine position, status, worth, value and potential. Being singled out and treated differently, being denied training necessary to fulfil duties. Having annual leave, sickness leave, and - especially - compassionate leave refused, being contacted out of hours, to discuss business or work issues, especially during in sickness and other leave.

Bullying is any thing that makes a person feel threatened, excessively pressured or undermined in any way, and the nature of bullying is that it is carried repeatedly and over time.

Bullying wrecks lives, cause's physical and psychological illness and in many cases leads to suicide, it is illegal and costs business £1000's each year. In many cases the bully does not understand their actions and can be seen as making fun, mickey taking or being bitchy, nether the les it is still bullying, in the eyes of the law

We are here to support victims of bullying and assist in the changing of bullying practices

We also provide a Company Bullying Assessment, assessing your company for any practice that may be seen as bullying and providing you with a full detailed report with our findings and suggestions for changing bullying practices.
