BULLYING
Bullying in the work place is constant nit-picking, fault-finding and criticism of a trivial nature, a constant refusal to acknowledge contributions and achievements or to recognise an employee's existence and value, with constant attempts to undermine position, status, worth, value and potential. Being singled out and treated differently, being denied training necessary to fulfil duties. Having annual leave, sickness leave, and - especially - compassionate leave refused, being contacted out of hours, to discuss business or work issues, especially during in sickness and other leave.
Bullying is any thing that makes a person feel threatened, excessively pressured or undermined in any way, and the nature of bullying is that it is carried repeatedly and over time.
Bullying wrecks lives, cause's physical and psychological illness and in many cases leads to suicide, it is illegal and costs business £1000's each year. In many cases the bully does not understand their actions and can be seen as making fun, mickey taking or being bitchy, nether the les it is still bullying, in the eyes of the law
We are here to support victims of bullying and assist in the changing of bullying practices
First contact for support with bullying is usually made by the company, but can be made by the employee where a contract agreement is in place with the company. The process can take place at your location or any other mutually agreed location, providing a group format. Bullying support can also take place using, Email on a one to one basis. This service is also provided to the public.
We also provide a Company Bullying Assessment, assessing your company for any practice that may be seen as bullying and providing you with a full detailed report with our findings and suggestions for changing bullying practices.
